CLIENT STORY"I'm not gifted at it and I hate the weight of it."
The work Janice delegated to her Timely EA.
When I asked Janice how many hours a week her Timely EA saves her, she answered a different question. "It wouldn't matter if it was one and only one hour," she said, "because I'm not gifted at it and I hate the weight of it. It constrained my mind in a way that didn't allow me to do what I do best."
Dr. Janice Perkins
Global Trainer, Executive Coach, Speaker
She trained executives all day while her inbox piled up.
Janice coaches and trains senior leaders, which means she works inside their schedules, and those schedules change constantly. When she's on site, she's in front of a room and unreachable. Meanwhile, the emails stacked up with clients asking for assessment links, a specific form or to reschedule a meeting. The volume of emails meant she'd get home and play catch-up late at night.
Her Timely EA took over scheduling and emails, and the difference was immediate.
The back-and-forth to find a meeting time was off her plate, and someone was monitoring her inbox while she was on site, so a client who canceled or needed to reschedule got a response within a few hours instead of at midnight. Same with the transactional requests. Janice called it an immediate burden lift, and four years in, it's given her the capacity to grow.
The support got more thoughtful the longer it lasted.
Her EA started building workbooks for her sessions and ordering the labyrinths she uses in her practice. Janice points to the care her EA takes with her clients as a customer service gain, which is an upside consequence that owners rarely expect. Good support protects your time and it improves your clients' experience of you. They don't know who scheduled the meeting or ordered the materials, but they do remember feeling taken care of.
Her bandwidth went back into the business.
With the detail work gone, Janice had room to shore up her systems and think about the right kind of client, how to pursue them, and how to expand. She also finished her PhD. That's the kind of thing that becomes possible when the weight of work you hate is delegated.
In her own words:"The weight of that is worth its weight in gold. It frees you up to do what you're gifted to do, and you don't have to worry about the details."
If your days are spent delivering the work and your nights are spent catching up on everything that piled up while you did, this is what we do at Timely EA. I'd be glad to talk.
